A Little Self-Promotion Never Hurt Anyone
When I was in college, I was tasked with coming up with a New Media project that would be both artistic and intriguing in both form and content.
Combining my love of 8 and 16 bit video games, art, chiptune music, and poetry, I set forth to capture and edit real video game footage to put together an interactive DVD.
(On the actual DVD, though, the title screen is a working model that can be navigated with the DVD player's remote)
This is what I came up with:
Don't be afraid to let me know what you think in either the comments or by e-mailing me.

Retro Art for the Wounded Soul
What's cooler than iconic images from childhood? Iconic images from childhood that are produced using LASERS? Wrong. It's iconic images from childhood that are produced using lasers IN THE NAME OF ART!
cutoutpaper's laser cut retro art not only reminds you of happier times, but it looks pretty damn cool too:

Unfortunately, cutoutpaper is only offering a limited edition of 20 of these, so you’d better chop-chop on over to Etsy and pony up your $69 if you want one. Last I checked, there were just five left!BONUS: I bet you can't name every piece of nostalgic kitsch from the photo above.
